OFFICERS WILL BE OUT IN FORCE THIS 4th of July

Enforcing the New Fireworks Ordinance

Please refer to the ordinance for all of the specifics but the highlights of the ordinance are:

  • You must apply for a permit from the City Manager's Office at least 15 days prior to the display for a fee of $5

  • You must be 21 years old or older to ignite fireworks

  • You must clean-up all debris from the fireworks and cannot allow debris to fall on your neighbor's property

  • With a permit you may only display fireworks on:

    • July 3rd from 6pm to Midnight and/or

    • July 4th from 6p-11pm

  • The fine for a violation of this ordinance is $100
